Victoria is a trained architect turned children's illustrator and author, as well as editorial illustrator.
Her art is regularly seen on New Yorker covers and in picture books, which she uses to teach young readers about architecture, art, and the built environment.
Her most recent project, Our Cities Depend on Us, is an inspiring nonfiction picture book about the green innovations that cities around the world are deploying to fight climate change. Her first author-illustrator book, Building Zaha: The Story of Iraqi-British Architect Zaha Hadid, came out in 2020 to starred reviews. She is now working on new books dedicated to introducing young readers to architecture.
In the editorial sphere, Victoria's work with major media and corporate clients centers around architecture as well as design, urban themes, style, fashion, and diverse people. Her regular clients include The New Yorker, The New York Times. Politico, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Dallas Magazine, World Magazine, and many others.
Victoria grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and studied architecture and urban design at Cooper Union and Columbia University. Her inspiration is fueled by urban landscapes but also by fantasy, possibility, and imagination. Her other passion is experimenting with digital and traditional art tools... and in particular, pushing the boundaries of watercolor digitally.
Victoria lives and works just outside NYC.
